Saying Goodbye to Embarrassment of Asymmetry – Correct Breasts in Different Sizes and Breast Asymmetry by Breast Augmentation Surgery

If you carefully observe your features or body, I believe many people could find places where two sides were asymmetrical, such as eyelids, nostrils, cheeks, etc. that was what is called an “asymmetrical face.” Of course breasts or nipples can be no exception. Because asymmetrical conditions of this kind are natural and most of them are not obvious, they are not so easily to be discovered. Even many female friends would discover their problems of breasts different in size or positioning after a doctor informs them and then search for surgery to correct it.

We Asian females are not used to examine our body in front of a mirror due to improper breast development most of the time. If you take time to compare carefully, you may find that your breasts or nipples are in fact asymmetrical. Actually, such slight differences generally exist among female cohort. Most people may find one side of bras is looser than the other when wearing their bras, but this may not affect appearance or daily life.

Reasons for female breast or nipple asymmetry are mostly due to:

1. Congenital Slow Development
For cases such as single side underdevelopment of the Costa or thoracic cavity, single side maldevelopment or nipple or areola undersize, the condition is necessary to be corrected if it apparently affects the appearance or cardiopulmonary functions.

2. Congenital Structural Abnormality
Because the heart positions at the left breast, most girls would find their left breast is larger than their right one. This is due to the fact that left rib is more prominent than the right, and is a normal phenomenon. However, if the prominent rib structure has affected the shape or positioning of the breast, surgery can be done to correct the abnormality

3. Acquired Environmental Stimulation
Uneven shoulder levels due to long-term scoliosis, a common case, would cause breasts or nipples different in positioning. Problems of this kind go back a long way and most patients seek for help from a doctor again due to appearance issue.

If you found the above problems yourself, what are the measures to correct them? According to the author's perspective, the majority of current therapeutic measures are still plastic surgery in correcting appearance. In which, the most primary content includes the following:

1. Breast Augmentation Surgery:
To correct asymmetry of the breast structure, a measure with two advantages is breast augmentation surgery. For one, it can resolve the flat breast problem; for the other, it can cover the original abnormal chest bone structure with enhanced breasts. By adjusting breast implant capacity at two sides, shape of breasts at both sides can become almost symmetrical. Often a very good treatment effect can be obtained by this method.

2. Areola/Nipple Shrinking or Displacement:
Generally speaking, we shrink the larger areola or nipple to approximate the other side, thus it can only be a single side correction. If the difference in positions of two areolas and/or nipples exceeds more than 1 cm, the higher areola should be displaced to the normal position. However, this method would leave a ring-shaped scar surrounding the areola.

3. Breast Augmentation + Areola/Nipple Correction:
If it is to pursue perfection, I believe breast enhancement surgery combining areola and nipple correction should be the best completed measure, especially nipple level difference for most people would spontaneous become less obvious after breast enhancement surgery.

According the author's much breast augmentation experience, I believe that no women mind little regarding to their breast beauty or asymmetry. In many cases, they do not bother about the size of their breasts. However, they do mind about the symmetry of either breasts or nipples. Of course, this could be one of reasons why breast augmentation surgery is necessary. In fact, plastic surgery does not have an absolute standard. If you don't think it's perfect, consult a plastic surgeon's opinion always!
