	1. Can I still breast feed after a nipple reconstruction? Will the nipple atrophy occur again?

	The answers depend on the condition of your original nipple. If you have slight underdeveloped nipples, we could utilize the micro-tech four points-based tiny incision method to keep partially breastfeeding function. However, in the cases that the nipple is completely undeveloped or the nipple is removed by surgery, the purpose of reconstruction is focused on the appearance correction, the surgery can’t help any recovery of breastfeeding function because of the milk ducts are broken. Usually it requires two months observation period after the surgery, if everything is fine during the period, the nipple won’t atrophy again.

	2. When can I undergo a nipple reconstruction after the modified radical mastectomy(MRM) for breast cancer?

	The patient, who has a MRM surgery due to breast cancer, can receive first stage breast reconstruction one year after the surgery, if the result of follow-up monitoring is good. The first stage of breast reconstruction is to utilize tissue expander and then breast implants making the breasts go back to normal or symmetrical size. As the nipple reconstruction is the last stage procedure, we only consider this method that we are going to apply at three months after the breast reconstruction surgery.
