Secondary Rhinoplasty

1. Can you get secondary rhinoplasty in any situation? Are there any special restrictions?

Basically as long as the skin on the nose is healthy, anyone can get secondary rhinoplasty. But if you have changed the nasal bone previously, it was infected, or rejected; then it will be safer to have the secondary rhinoplasty performed after a period of at least half a year. Of course if you have had many previous rhinoplasty surgeries performed, then the period should be extended, and should be based on the opinion of the doctor.

2. Is choosing the material Goretex for the secondary rhinoplasty better then a silica bone?

That is not necessarily true. If it is a secondary rhinoplasty under normal circumstances, and your nose tip and other soft tissue still have elasticity, then choosing an artificial bone is no problem. It is convenient, safe, and if it is removed in the future the results are reversible, that is the main reason it is still widely used. As for Goretex, it is suitable for patients who had unsuccessful results with the silica nose, had previous infections, or have a nose with bad conditions. But because after half a year it will be fixed tightly with the skin, it will be harder to take out or change in the future.
3. Will the recovery period for revision rhinoplasty be longer? Will there be after effects after surgery?

Basically the methods for secondary rhinoplasty are the same as Korean rhinoplasty; it just has the additional steps of changing the nose bone and taking out the capsule. So the recovery period is about the same, and usually has an acute swelling period of 7-10 days. But the nose tip because of the secondary surgery, the repercussion period will be slower, it usually take 2-3 months time to see the final results. As for the other things that need to be paid attention to are the same as the first rhinoplasty, you just need to take the advice of the doctor, and there will be no after effects.
4. I have had already 2 former rhinoplasty surgeries, can I have another?

Actually whether or not you can have another rhinoplasty depend on the elasticity of your nose tip and skin, but not the number of surgeries you had previously. If your conditions are approved by the doctor after evaluation, then getting Korean rhinoplasty can achieve good results. But if your nose tip protrudes, has redness, has infections, or has nasal contractions, then I would recommend removing the artificial nose, allowing the tissue to recover, waiting for half a year, and then performing rhinoplasty according to the situation.
