Korean style double eyelid surgery

1. What should we do if the double eyelid stitches fall? Will it be easily noticed?

The double eyelid stitching method that we use, has been improved by Korean doctors; it is the most reliable and long lasting method. If the stitches become loose within a year after surgery, we will correct the eyelids for free. Of course if you are still worried, choosing the other two methods can provide permanent effects.

2. How do we know that the double eyelids after surgery will be the shape I want? Will there be any differences in perspective?

We will communicate with you in detail before surgery, and use special tools to help you simulate in front of a mirror how your eyelids will look after surgery, so basically you do not need to worry too much about differences in perspective. But sometimes temporary unevenness will occur after surgery, as long as you cooperate with your doctor, and wait patiently for the swelling to reduce and your eyes to recover, you can welcome totally new eyes into your life.
3. What are the differences between Korean micro-incision method and the stitching method? Why is there such a big difference in price?

The stitching method stitches horizontally and oppositely together the skin of the eyelid and the tarsus below. The point of force is on the skin, so it may loosen in time when rubbing the eyes or for other reasons. The micro-incision method stitches together the tissue under the eyelid and the tarsus, but the point of force is the tarsus and not the eyelid, so it will naturally not loosen easily. Because the skill level requirement is higher, and it is a method with long lasting effects, so the price will be higher for the Korean micro-incision method.
4. My eyes have had problems before; will double eyelid surgery affect my vision?

Double eyelid surgery is performed entirely on the eyelid, and is not related to the eyeball or vision; this is something you need to understand first. But if you have eye problems, or have received eye surgery in the past, you should inform the doctor voluntarily, and let him evaluate if you are suitable for double eyelid surgery. Also, the temporary swelling after double eyelid surgery sometimes stimulates the conjunctiva, causing temporary eye fatigue or visual blurriness; so please do not worry if this happens.
5. Why has my period of swelling been longer then other patients? Are there problems?

Swelling after surgery is normal, because the partial anesthetics and the surgical stitching thread will stimulate the wound to swell, so this is a necessary process during recovery. Of course a delicate and well designed surgery can reduce the swelling to the minimum, and shorten the recovery period. Also it is important to cold compress the wound for the first 48 hours. Don’t forget the period of swelling is related to personal metabolism and the body type of the recovering patient!
6. Will my epicanthus be more obvious after double eyelid surgery?

If your epicanthus is not naturally large, and your double eyelids are not cut too deep, the problem you mention should not happen. If your epicanthus is thick, and your eyes are round, then after double eyelid surgery, it may cause the angled line of the epicanthus to steepen and rise which may look unbalanced. Usually we will recommend this type of patient to get an epicanthus incision and double eyelid surgery at the same time, the satisfaction rate for this is fairly high.
