Epicanthoplasty and Lateral Canthoplasty

1. Will having epicanthoplasty leave scars?

There are many methods of performing epicanthoplasty surgery; we choose to use the method that has the least obvious and smallest scar. If you look closely, you will still find a small red scar for one or two months after surgery, but after this recovery period the scar will slowly disappear. Choosing to use our SHU FARVIAN Vitamin C essence can effectively shorten the recovery time and inhibit scarring; having lateral canthoplasty will not result in scarring.

2. I heard that it is not necessary to have epicanthoplasty after rhinoplasty, is that true?

If you have a nose with a flat bridge and your epicanthus is thick and obvious, rhinoplasty will indeed have the effect of allowing your epicanthus to center, but the visual impression will vary from person to person. I still recommend you to consult with a professional doctor, and listen to his advice before you make your decision.
3. My lateral canthus are sagging, can lateral canthoplasty improve that?

There are two reasons for sagging lateral canthus: the first one is problem with the eyelids; if they need to be corrected it is necessary to perform eyelid surgery or even perform an eyebrow lift. The other reason is naturally down-turning eyes; the position of the eyes can be adjusted by performing lateral canthoplasty, and the results are usually satisfactory.
