	1. Are there any sequela to facial Liposuction? Will it damage facial nerves?

	If proper surgery techniques are used, the nerves will not be damaged. The facial nerves have fixed depths and directions, so they are not so easily damaged. But after facial Liposuction, sometimes partial areas of the skin will feel numb; this is normal and will eventually improve through continuous heat compressions.

	2. My facial skin is already sagging and wrinkling, will the conditions be more serious after Liposuction?

	This can be determined after evaluating your skin’s elasticity and thickness. Basically if the conditions of your skin are acceptable, and you have thick subcutaneous fat, then you can undergo facial Liposuction. Sometimes after Liposuction, because the reorganization and reattachment of facial skin to subcutaneous tissue, it can actually improve the preoperational sagging conditions of the skin.

	3. Some doctors do not recommend facial Liposuction, what are your views on this?

	Because there is not a lot of subcutaneous fat in the face, some doctors do believe that Liposuction does not significantly improve a round face. Actually the goal of facial Liposuction is not the amount of fat vacuumed out; it is the reallocation of facial skin and subcutaneous tissue after Liposuction which will have firming effects. Through my experiences in Japan, facial Liposuction has certain positive effects, but the evaluations before surgery must be accurate in order allow the consumer to have satisfactory results.

	4. I have very deep nasiolabial folds and orbitals, is it better to have a fat transplant or a hyaluronic acid injection?

	This depends on to what degree you want to correct the conditions. Fat transplants have the problem of self absorption, and hyaluronic acid requires regular injections, or the effects will totally disappear. An attribute of fat transplants is that it can achieve permanent and satisfying effects after two to three injections; hyaluronic acid needs long term injections, and is not as economical in the long term! Our clinic provides semi-permanent collagen injections which have effects that can last up to a year or a year and a half. We also provide permanent hyaluronic acid injections, providing you with other choices besides surgery.
