There are orbicularis
oris muscles in the lips. The orbicularis
oris muscle is a layer of thick muscle,
if it is not touched; it is difficult
to reduce the size of the lips too
much. As for the swelling after surgery,
because the mucous membrane of the
lips are filled with circulating blood
vessels, the lips may remain swollen
for a long period of time, but usually
people cannot notice any problems
after a period of two weeks. |
