1. Will there be a lot of swelling after forehead lift surgery? Are there any sequela?

The swelling is not obvious for the scalp incision method or endoscope face lift surgery; you might just with having a “shiny” forehead. Some people even go back to work the next day after surgery. The possible sequela may be: if the stitches in the scalp are too tight it may cause hair to not grow adequately, or numbness in the scalp, etc... In most cases as long as the surgery is carefully planned, these symptoms will not be too obvious, and the patient can recover within three months.

2. I had wanted to have my sagging eyelids cut, but the doctor recommended me to get a forehead lift, is that the correct treatment?

Many middle aged patients with saggy eyelids also have problems with loose eyelid skin and loose forehead skin; the evaluations by the doctor can help determine the seriousness of the problems. If the doctor believes that your loose eyelids are caused by loose forehead skin, he will naturally recommend you to get forehead lift surgery first.
3. Is a traditional face lift better, or an endoscope face lift?

They both have pros and cons; the pros of the traditional face lift are the results last longer; the cons are that the wounds take longer to heal; the endoscope face lift has smaller wounds, faster recovery, but the results do not last as long. Normally I would recommend patients with looser aged skin to get traditional face lifts, and middle aged patients to choose endoscope face lifts. Also, the endoscope face lift costs more!
