1. Can sagging eyelids from aging be adjusted through stitching? Are the results better?

No, because sagging eyelids from aging are caused by more than the saggy eyelids alone, it also includes the loose fat and skin around the eyes. If you just receive double eyelid surgery stitching, the results will not be obvious, and your eyelids may “fall” again in less than a year. I recommend that if you want to solve all of the problems at once, it is better to have correction surgery.

2. After eyelid correction surgery, will the eyelids be very swollen? Will they be very uneven?

The degree of after surgery swelling is different for every person, although it might not swell a lot; usually it takes 10 days to 2 weeks to heal. After surgery, sometimes the eyelids will seem uneven, but usually it is because the two sides are healing at different rates, so you don’t have to worry. You just need to listen to the advice of the medical staff, and cold compress and heat compress at the instructed times, I believe the situation will quickly improve...
3. I had eyelid correction surgery at another hospital a month ago but I am not satisfied with the results, can I go to you to have them redone?

Sometimes we hear about patients not satisfied with the results of corrective eyelid surgery, but often times it is because the eyelids have not entirely healed. You should cooperate with your surgeon, and wait for a longer period. If you really want to have it redone or fixed, I recommend you to come get an evaluation after 3 months time.
4. After having eyelid ptosis correction surgery, I can barely lift my eyes, what is the reason for this?

Because the swelling of the eyelids, sometimes temporary eyelid sagging symptoms will occur, but normally it happens on both sides of the face and will improve after one or two weeks. If your eyelids are no longer swollen but still cannot be lifted, it may be that the doctor hurt your eyelid muscles during surgery, causing muscle weakness or paralysis; this is called “iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm sagging eyelids.” You need to find the surgeon that performed your surgery to solve the problem, usually for older patients, their eyelid muscles will shrink or become thin, so extra attention needs to be taken during surgery.
