Nasolabial fold correction

1. Can surgery really make nasolabial folds disappear?

Actually the existence of nasolabial folds allow facial expressions to look more natural, if you want the nasolabial folds to be entirely smooth, facial expressions will look stiff and masklike, and not look very good. So the surgery to correct nasolabial folds must be performed after evaluating the muscle movement of the entire face, and as long as the originally deep nasiolabial folds are lightened, the treatment is considered a success.

.2. I am worried that the fat transplant will be entirely absorbed by the body and disappear; will there be problems if I use artificial dermis?

Artificial dermis will grow with body tissue after a period of time, so looking natural later on is not a problem. But this material is still considered a foreign object by the body; when it is first implanted, it will feel hard to the touch, and infection must be prevented. After 2, 3 months it will slowly mature and soften, and at that time the results will then be confirmed.
3. Besides injecting hyaluronic acid, are there any other types of more long lasting fillers that can be injected?

Yes there are, especially AQUAMID and Bio-Alcamid; the two types of long lasting fillers can last up to 8-10 years. They are good choices for smoothing nasolabial folds, but it is a pity that these materials currently cannot be imported or used in the country. Consumers that want to get this treatment can only wait!
4. Is it possible to just use a wire scalpel of nasolabial fold but not filler?

For less severe nasolabial folds, using the incision method can improve the appearance, but the results are not as obvious. After a short period of time, some nasolabial folds stick together again, so we would recommend using filler along with the incision method. This will allow the results to be more obvious, and can prevent nasolabial folds from returning or reappearing.
