1. Will vaginoplasty result in future difficulty or pain when having sexual intercourse?

The fears you are referring to are mainly caused by the surgeon tightening the vagina size too much, or scars caused by badly stitched wounds in the vagina. So before surgery we can evaluate and carefully understand the patient needs, cautiously sew up the wound, and not let these symptoms happen to our patients after surgery.

2. Are there other types of vaginoplasty that can be chosen?

There is another non-surgical method which is to inject fat in a ring under the vagina mucous membrane and let the opening become narrow and thick. The pros about this method are that there will be no wounds inside the vagina, and the recovery period is short; the cons are the amount of fat injected cannot be too much, and some of the fat will be self-absorbed.
3. After vaginoplasty, is it difficult to take care of the area? What should I pay attention to?

The wound for vaginoplasty is at the mucous membrane in the vagina, and it is difficult to apply medicine. We recommend the patient use warm water to slowly rinse the vagina and apply anti-inflammatory ointment to protect the wound; it does not require any special care. The patient should not have sexual intercourse the two weeks after surgery, and needs to avoid violent intercourse the month after surgery. This surgery should not be performed around the time of menstruation to lower the chances of infection.
