As for the development and advancement of biotechnology, breast augmentation surgery is not the only method for modern women to enlarge their breasts nowadays. Provided with the 3-6 months post-operation care after breast augmentation surgery, the surgery makes many women hesitant, so how to conveniently and quickly enlarge breasts has become one of the popular issues.

In fact, breast augmentation with injection has been developed for a long time from the earliest forbidden silicon gel implants, autologous fat to present macromolecule Hyaluronic Acid (sub-Q). All these materials are expected to meet the same result as breast augmentation surgery with smallest wounds and least recovery time. But external materials injected into breast tissue might induce pathologic changes in a long run or even influence breast screening, which induces doubts of their long-term safety. Many countries even legislated to outlaw breast augmentation with injection. This old breast augmentation method regains popularity after temporary fillings like Sub-Q were released.

Generally speaking, the main purpose of breast augmentation with injection is to reconstruct breasts or chest defects instead of enlarging breasts size, so that the expense and risk could be kept low. The common indications for breast augmentation with Sub-Q injection are listed below:
1. Breast enlargement by 1-2 sizes
2. Local injection to modify the atrophy and the drooping of breasts
3. Unilateral injection to correct unequal breasts
4. Modification of congenital breast malformation, ex: tubular breast
5. Repair of skin wrinkles or prosthetic breast shadow after operation
 
Breast augmentation with injection has the same process as general surgery. The preoperative sterilization has to be thorough. Then we will make an incision about 0.5 cm under bilateral axilla near the nipples, implant special injection tubes into the breast and connect the tubes with Sub-Q pump. Afterwards we would inject Sub-Q in fan-shaped multiple directions. The volume in each position should be carefully calculated to prevent complications such as concavities or hard masses. The position needing reinforcement can be injected repeatedly for a few times to create the optimal result. No massage or squeeze is necessary post operation and the breasts will come to a fixed shape in about two weeks.

Usually an injection of about 80-100 cc can enlarge a breast by one or two size and if the first injection is inadequate or dissatisfying. The second injection can be performed one month apart.
