The general
indications for nipple reconstruction
surgery are listed below:
1. Congenital nipple aplasia or hypoplasia
2. Congenital nipple development anomaly
3. Malformation or defects of nipple
due to operation
4. Resection of breast and nipple due
to breast cancer
5. Serious inflammation and infection
induced malformation
As for mild and medium hypoplasia
of nipple, we would adopt the latest
4-point circumferential nipple small
incision method to lift and enhance
the nipple, which could offer an optimal
treatment. As for nipple aplasia and
resection of the nipple, we would
use more traditional methods, such
as areola flap, contralateral nipple
transplant or cartilage transplant
to create a satisfying result. The
operation method varies depending
on patients’ situations.
