After the launching of direct flights across Taiwan Straits, the trend of Hong Kong tourists attending cosmetic surgery in Taiwan has continuously intensified while the expected cosmetic surgery tour groups from China are still stalling at the opposite side.
According to Dr. Chuang Chia-Rong, Hong Kong tourists who visited Taiwan have mainly consulted on the surgeries including 1) medial canthoplasty, 2) rhinoplasty, and 3) breast enlargement. Besides the competitive surgery cost, the main reason for Hong Kong tourists to choose Taiwan include the advance and skillful medical techniques, and common language which eases the communication.
